Katy grew up immersed in the world of amateur theatre, developing a deep passion for theatrical arts, and went on to gain a degree in Theatre, Film and Television at the University of York. Katy's early career was rich with diverse experiences in producing and programming for film, theatre, and creative events, ensuring they are both artistically inspiring and financially sound, and allowing her to collaborate with a variety of talented artists and innovative projects.
Transitioning to the higher education sector, Katy now specialises in coordinating research grants within the social sciences. This role sharpened her skills in bid writing, grant management, and financial oversight—essential tools that she now brings to Firefly.
